Kensuji - The Art of Vinyl #3 + interview

2025. március 02. - FrozenDub

Hello Kentsuji! Would you please briefly introduce yourself?

Hi! My real name is Amine, and I'm currently living in Montreal, Canada, though I was born and raised in Algiers, Algeria. I see myself as someone who is deeply passionate about life, finding joy in its simple moments and the beauty it holds, like the pleasure of listening to good music.

Dubstep csemege régimódi kazettán!

140 Tape Vol.1 w/ DeepEnd!

A Deep Tempo duó neve minden dubstep rajongó számára ismerősen cseng.

Jah-Tek: manchester-i dubstep kiadó és zenei platform

Interview with SerpentEyes

SerpentEyes is based out of Huntsville, AL, and has been producing since 2017 when he moved back home to the state after spending a couple years in California. His time with friends there helped shape his tastes for electronic and dance music. Starting with more aggressive tastes in Dubstep & Trap, but eventually moving into the UK 140 style of Dubstep and rekindling a love for Drum & Bass along with new passions such as Reggae/Dub and Breaks.

He recently released a free download track at Frozen Plates and recorded a production mix. Both available on the Frozen Plates soundcloud page.

Interview with Blunt Aus Nord

Blunt Aus Nord, the Edinburgh based dubstep producer, takes inspiration from black metal to explore new ways and new atmospheres in the 140/dubstep genre. His first ever released EP called Blackened Dub consists of four very characteristic tracks: all have dark gothic moods, analogue tape hiss in the background, and well chosen sound effects to build up the vibe for the 'black dubstep'. We invite you to join us on an exciting music journey and to get familiar with this new producer! Please read the interview and listen to the EP!

We are happy to start the Frozen Freebie music series with this unique EP! We hope that we can help more new producers in the future!

Interview with Pharma

Pharma the cold blooded dubstep maestro. No question: he is among the top producers. The Viennese mastermind can produce the most brutal sound system shakers and the very musical baroque tunes as well.
I'm very happy that he was kind enough to answer some of my questions.
With this interview we are closing the series of interviews. See you in Budapest on 17th March!

For this reason, we asked him to take time for a short interview. Please continue to read!

Interview with WZ

There are quite a few places on Earth where you can find good dubstep and good beers at the same time. Czech Republic is one of those places. Not only from this reason the Havirov based WZ is among our favourite producers. His music has very unique characteristic which clearly comes from the matured state of the early ‘00s dubstep sound but upgraded and shaped to 2020’s demands. He is one of the guests of the next Frozen Plates party in Budapest at 17th March (see more info here). From this occasion we had a little chat with WZ about his production methods and musical adventures.
